    This is probobly stating the obvious, and its barly even a sudgestion, but I see this time and time again. Almost all MMORPG's have annoyingly repetitive battle and quest systems. Lets face it, most of these games is just farming on the same enemy with the same attack for 900 hours till your high enough to move on to the next one. The quests are mostly based upon killing something 50,000 times and collecting what ever it drops. We need to try as hard as possible to prevent this same battle and quest system. Another thing we must face is that, honestly, console games USUALLY have great battle systems, only problem, no online play (I honestly almost passed out when I heard that they werent making Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion with live play). So what we need to do is make sure that the battles are fun and not so god damn easy and simple, and put some more god damn meaning into quests.

    Good thoughts on that, we'll be working on our story over the summer, it's not going to be like maple story.

    "I'm sick, kill pigs and give me their ribbons it'll make me feel better."


    It'll be more like:

    "We gotta stop them right here and now or our town/city/settlement is doomed."
    "20 min timer on quest"

    But not all quests will be timed. Wink

    There needs to be a even mix of all some peeps like (believe it or not) watching there char murder helpless woodland dwelers for hours on end

    Why dont we employ a badass overdrive system, resulting in uber powerd weapons, and kick arse skills?

    Combat system seems to be I looked at reviews from 4 sites and asked around~ reserch good for creditbilty What a Face Anyhow get back on topic

    Ive played the game, it has rythm, but its not rythm based, it has great music too though.

    Anyway, maybe if we dull the attack damage down, add more moves, take the ability to se it out of certain parts (IE: Raids) and add more then one type of over drive to a class, this might make for a good idea.

    What's overdrive, exactly? We don't even have a real damage system yet, how can you say to tone it down. o_O

    Overdrive is a power up in skill, usually with a new peice of equipment, or in a physical transformation. as for the damage, i ment tone the overdrive skills damage down.

    I did, all I saw was things killing other things... so um... it looked like normal combat to me.

    It was players killing things with weopons that they didnt have 5 seconds ago.

    Suspect this is illogical killing 5 monsters should not spawn you gear with which you can kill the 6th ~

    an overdrive system will only serve to make the game more repetitive and nub freindly

    spawning a temporary weapon doesn't seem like a good idea at all...

    if you want a stronger weapon, buff the one you got (example: imbued with fire or poison)
    or if it's defensive like a shield,... get a barrior
