    Anouncement -Armor Ranks-

    Post by Kejin March 17th 2009, 11:51 am

    Armor Ranks will be determined by the weight of the armor. Armor weight will determine how much damage physical hits inflict.

    Formula:

    Bases:
    (Cloth) = 1/2(iLvl)
    (Leather) = 2(Cloth)
    (Mail) = 2(Leather)
    (Plate) = 2(Mail)

    (Base) + (Upgrade) = (Base) + 1/2(Base)
    (Base) + (Upgrade 2) = [(Base) + (Upgrade)] + 1/2[(Base) + (Upgrade)]

    Weight Ranks:

    ilvl 10 ||
    5 Armor || Cloth

    10 Armor || Leather

    20 Armor || Chain Mail

    ilvl 50 ||
    25 Armor || Cloth

    50 Armor || Leather

    100 Armor || Chain Mail

    200 Armor || Plate

    ilvl 100 || Upgrades will only be available at max or close to max lvl.
    50 Armor || Cloth
    75 Armor || Mystic Cloth (Upgrade) "] *1.5 iLvl
    112.5 Armor || Crystal-Weave Cloth (Upgrade 2) *1.5 iLvl

    100 Armor || Leather
    150 Armor || Scale (Upgrade) *1.5 iLvl
    225 Armor || Crystal-Scale (Upgrade 2) *1.5 iLvl

    200 Armor || Chain Mail
    300 Armor || Double Chain Mail (Upgrade) *1.5 iLvl
    450 Armor || Crystal Chain Mail (Upgrade 2) *1.5 iLvl

    400 Armor || Plate
    600 Armor || Platinum (Upgrade) *1.5 iLvl
    900 Armor || Crystal Platinum (Upgrade 2) *1.5 iLvl

    Rarity Ranks:

    Garbage -5 iLvl
    Common ±0 iLvl
    Uncommon +5 iLvl
    Rare +10 iLvl
    Ultra Rare +15 iLvl
    Epic +25 iLvl
    God +50 iLvl

    The initial armor will not count for or against the iLvl, it is the value of armor that that item will have at that iLvl

    example: plate uses 1000 armor, but for tanking purposes we add 500, that extra 500 will deduct iLvl points.

    Need a reduction formula.

    %Reduction = (Armor / [10*Enemy_Level + Armor])*100

    Enemy Lvl 100

    10,000 Armor
    10,000/(10*100+10,000)
    10,000/(1,000+10,000)
    10,000/11,000
    100/110

    90.90%

    5,000 Armor
    5,000/(10*100+5,000)
    5,000/(1,000+5,000)
    5,000/6,000
    5/6

    83.33%

    1,000 Armor
    1,000/(10*100+1,000)
    1,000/(1,000+1,000)
    1,000/2,000
    1/2

    50%

    500 Armor
    500/(10*100+500)
    500/(1,000+500)
    500/1,500
    5/15

    33.33%

    200 Armor
    200/(10*100+200)
    200/(1,000+200)
    200/1,200

    Enemy Lvl 50

    10,000 Armor
    10,000/(10*50+10,000)
    10,000/(500+10,000)
    10,000/10,500
    100/105

    95.23%

    5,000 Armor
    5,000/(10*50+5,000)

    Now we need some insight on shields, since shields aren't necessarily mail or plate, they need to have their armor determined in a different way w/iLvl, not just double mail or something like that.

    Lets use something simple:

    Shield_Armor_Value = 10*iLvl

    A lvl 1 shield will have 10 armor.
    A lvl 25 shield will have 250 armor.
    A lvl 50 shield will have 500 armor.
    A lvl 100 shield will have 1000 armor.
    An epic lvl 100 shield will have 1250 armor.
    Epic w/1 upgrade...1875 armor.
    Epic w/2 upgrades...2812.5 armor.
