It depends on what "magic" truly is to you. In a way in our day and age "magic" really isn't magic anymore. There's rules and laws that govern what magic can, and can not do. What your thinking of is a type of wish system in which all rules are toss to the wind and I turn the world into a army of green talking carrots.

Yeah we've seen how other games play out the "laws of magic" and we've developed a nice style to how magic should be used in a game, making it very successful and fun, instead of chaotic like pvp in DDO. So we can enhance the good magic mechanics that we have enjoyed over our lives.
